Green-lipped mussel is one of the nutritionally most valuable food.

Green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) from marine farms in New Zealand. It is kept under optimal rearing conditions with minimal exposure by pollutants. It is not only used in the traditional New Zealand cuisine, but already offered for many years as a dietary supplement.

In the freeze-dried concentrated green-lipped mussel powder a particularly high proportion of Glucosaminoglukane (GAG), besides minerals, trace elements and many amino acids, is included. Furthermore it is enriched with a complex of polyunsaturated fatty acids (especially omega-3 acids, Lyprinol) as a bioactive substance. Glucosaminoglukane, in particular the chondroitin sulfate, corresponds largely to the components of our cartilage.
