This fine chestnut honey comes from the hills of the Lucca region around the village of Pieve Santo Stefano. The taste of chestnut honey is slightly tart, the colour a rich dark brown and the consistency is rather thick. A sweet - tart delight that not only tastes good on bread, but also in fine sauces or dips.

The honey is extracted cold from the hives. This is the gentlest method of honey extraction. This way, no valuable nutrients are lost.
